About getting materials NOT in Phoenix

For more information and handy tools, click on Resources for Phoenix on the home page!

Welcome to our 7th year at the Phoenix campus! The entire library staff of AHSL is pleased to continue to extend our digital and print resources and services to students, residents, fellows and faculty at both campuses. In Phoenix you will notice a focus on the use of electronic materials, except in the case of books not yet available in digital format. What is exciting about our digital collections is the fact that our resources will be available to you wherever and whenever you need them, at your fingertips. Remember, too, that our print book collection is tailored to the Phoenix curriculum, so you will find what is covered in the lectures! You will be able to access the world’s knowledge bases via your personal desktop or laptop computer, a PC at your Mom’s house, or one at your local library or coffee shops. Just be sure to always have your UA NetID with you! .

Presently, your AHSL Phoenix has a professional staff of two, plus our part-time medical student and PH grad student librarians who cover evenings and weekends.  Additionally, all Tucson librarians and other staffers are available to help you as they always have been. We look forward to working with you, and to finding ways to make the right information available to you in the format that is most useful to you. Please tell us via text message, email, or phone when you identify something (print or electronic) we can acquire, negotiate for, or make more accessible. We all want to know how to help you as you study, learn and teach. Our offices and the library are in the new Health Science Education Building (HSEB) at 435 N. 5th Street, on the 3rd floor. Please plan to visit the library, both physically and virtually.

A scanner and photocopier/printer are available for UA student use.  Please ask for assistance.  Please bring a thumb drive to save files you download or be prepared to email them to yourself, as printing is limited to students, faculty and staff.

A map to the campus is found HERE.
