One hundred thirty-five books written or edited by Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC) faculty and staff are featured in Honoring AHSC Book Authors and Editors, an exhibit in the Arizona Health Sciences Library (AHSL), Tucson Campus, Java City coffee bar area (Room 2101), 1501 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson, from Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Friday, Nov. 30. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
The exhibit is the culmination of a year-long project by the Arizona Health Sciences Library to create a database of books published by AHSC faculty and staff, searchable by author/editor name and title. The database can be accessed from the library’s website homepage (scroll down to “AHSC Author Corner” on the bottom right). (Note also that the AHSC Author Corner also includes a link to UA journal articles indexed in PubMed during the last 5 years.)
AHSL welcomes the help of current and former faculty and staff in expanding the database, including pre-2005 and post-2012 titles; submissions can be made at http://ahsl.arizona.edu/forms/submit-your-work-ahsc-publications.
An opening reception is planned for Wednesday, September 12th, at 4:00 PM.
The exhibit may be viewed Sundays through Thursdays, 7 AM to 9:00 PM, and Fridays and Saturdays, 7 AM to 7 PM. See directions and parking information.
