AHSL-Tucson Support for Students & Final Exams

The Arizona Health Sciences Library knows a positive study environment is important to students, so we are  doing everything we can to support our students as they prepare for final exams.  In Tucson this includes extended hours, increased staff assistance, complimentary beverages and earplugs, additional study space and an AHSC student-only silent study room.
  • Extended Hours:  7 a.m.-12:30 a.m., seven days a week from Monday, Nov. 26, through Thursday, Dec. 13.
  • A library staff member will perform a walk-through of all public areas every hour (more often if necessary)
    between 10 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Library staff will be available at all times to assist with any problems.
  • Stay alert! Free coffee and tea will be provided in the library lobby after 6:00 pm from
    Friday, Nov. 30, through Thursday, Dec. 13.
  • Complimentary earplugs are available at the Information Desk.
  • More space to study – 20 additional tables will be set up on the fourth floor from
    Monday, Nov. 26 through Friday, Dec. 14.
  • The “silent study room” on the fourth floor now has card readers and only will admit AHSC students.

In January, the fourth floor of the library in Tucson will be renovated to improve its usefulness as a quiet study area.  Watch for upcoming announcements!
