New Interlibrary Loan Service for AHSL Is Here!

May 22, 2014
University of Arizona Libraries
This week Arizona Health Sciences Library’s DocOrder service completed its merger with the University Libraries Interlibrary Loan service. This merger will bring faster delivery times, easier access to the Main and Albert B. Weaver Science-Engineering collections and a single, university-wide request process for all faculty and students.
What’s changed
What’s staying the same
  • Notification: When your book arrives, you will be notified that it can be picked up at AHSL. Distance students will have books mailed to their homes. Soon you will be able to choose which UA Library you want for your pick-up location.
What’s going away
  • Request Histories in DocOrder will not be transferred in the merger. If this information is important to you, please email or use Ask Us – choose Request Materials/DocOrder.
What else is new
  • A new delivery option for AHSC faculty & students in Tucson is here!  From the Library Catalog, you can now request an item located at any UA Library and have it delivered to the library of your choice for pick-up. AHSC-Phoenix should continue to place requests through UAL Interlibrary Loan.
