Banner Health facilities are UA off-campus locations with respect to UA-licensed resources, such as journals, ebooks, and databases. Banner employees who are UA Designated Campus Colleagues (DCC) Affiliates and Associates can access UA-licensed resources (except for UpToDate) from off campus by clicking on a library-supplied link to those resources, then signing in when prompted with their NetID and password.
Both the UA and Banner have UpToDate subscriptions. Banner employees (including those who are also UA DCC Affiliates or Associates) must access UpToDate via Banner's UpToDate. Banner employees, COM residents, and fellows can create a personal "UpToDate Anywhere" login via Banner's UpToDate subscription and use that login to access UpToDate from Banner off campus.
Also, Banner UpToDate Anywhere users may be requested (via an email reminder) to reverify their Banner login credentials every 90 days. Reverification of one's continuing affiliation with Banner is accomplished simply by accessing UpToDate via a Banner networked computer (or if off campus, via a Banner intranet session).
You can access most UA-licensed information resources by logging in with your UA NetID.* If you don't have a UA NetID, create one at UA NetID. If you need help, ask your department administrator. For questions about accessing UA-licensed resources, contact us.
*Except for College of Medicine-Tucson community preceptors, UA DCC Affiliates and Associates do not have access UpToDate via the UA's UpToDate license. See UpToDate access FAQs.
Banner-licensed resources, such as UpToDate, Micromedex, and Mosby’s Nursing Skills, are available at the Banner-UMC locations (Tucson, South, & clinics) and via the Banner intranet. Access to most UA-licensed resources is available to anyone from within the Health Sciences Library and other UA Libraries locations.
Your CatCard is your library borrower's card, so it lets you check out print materials from the Health Sciences Library and other UA Libraries. If you don't have a CatCard, contact the CatCard office to find out how to get one. For more information, see borrowing at the Health Sciences Library.
You are welcome to come to the library and use the print and electronic resources. However, many library services are now provided by Banner Health library services. Below is the contact information to get:
