Library cards and registration

The UA CatCard serves as the library card for UA faculty, staff, and students. Records are downloaded from the University's Enterprise Directory System (EDS) on a daily basis excluding holidays to create and update library accounts for all UA employees and students. Library registration is not required.

Banner-UMC (Tucson, South, & clinics) employees may register at the information desk and receive their borrowing cards or barcodes for their badges. See more information about library services for Banner-UMC employees.

UA Libraries community cards can be purchased at the Main Library for an annual fee of $125 ($250 provides access to library computers). Community cards are valid at all UA Libraries (Main, Science-Engineering, Fine Arts, and Health Sciences Libraries).
