The Health Sciences Library will support you in providing print and electronic library resources to your students in support of your instructional objectives.
Find articles in the library's ejournal collection by searching databases or going directly to an ejournal using the A-Z list.
Locate selected etextbooks in the health sciences in the Health Sciences Library collection. Also, use the library search for all ebooks licensed by the UA.
Construct direct links for journal articles and ebooks in the library collection to place within your course page in D2L or AZMed by following the direct link guidelines. Direct linking is recommended over uploading the full text to store on the server in order to comply with license agreements. Use the direct link generator to create links that work.
Obtain digital copies of journal articles and book chapters that the library owns only in print or doesn't own at all by requesting them through interlibrary loan. Copies will be delivered as PDFs. These can be uploaded to the server then linked from your course page.
Articles and book chapters not owned by the Health Sciences Library or UA Libraries may also be ordered through interlibrary loan. This material may only be used for one semester without permission from the copyright holder.
Follow the directions for constructing direct links or send your bibliographic citations to reserves and we'll construct the direct links for you to put into your D2L or AZMed course page.
Contact the information desk at (520) 626-6125 for help in finding a journal article or constructing a direct link.
Contact the Health Sciences Library librarian in your college for help in finding material that supports the learning objectives of your course.
To request books and videos in the Health Sciences Library collection to be placed on reserve in the library, send a bibliography of the titles to reserves and indicate when the material is needed.
