J Am Med Assoc, Dec 1957; 165: 1983: Engle, David Edwin, Tucson, Ariz.; born in Frankfort, Ind., Jan. 31, 1909; Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, 1934; specialist certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine; fellow of the American College of Physicians; past-president of the Arizona Heart Association; during World War II head of the department of cardiology for U. S. Army Base Hospital number 32 in Europe; at one time a fellow at the Mayo Foundation in Rochester, Minn.; formerly instructor in medicine, University of Illinois; on the staffs of the Pima County General Hospital, Tucson Medical Center, and St. Mary's Hospital, where he died Sept. 28, aged 48, of acute myocardial insufficiency.
