Flagstaff, Ariz. : Heritage Publishers, 1993, page 64: “…He had graduated from Columbia University in 1938, and after extensive postgraduate work, had returned to practice with his father in Globe. He entered the army in 1942. Was with troops at Attu and later at Kiska, Alaska. He served at Kwjalien and there was decorated with a bronze star. He went through the Leyte campaign and on to Mendora and Okinawa. At Okinawa he was awarded the silver star for gallantry in action and was killed in action there May 5, 1945.
